John Jones Obituary

John "Johnny" Jones was taken from us Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, in Houston. Cremation services will be handled by Klein Funeral Home in Houston. He accomplished so much in his short life. He grew up in Waco, and attended TSTC, then traveled the world for his career. He had recently retired and was living in Houston, where his favorite hobby was going fishing on the coast with his dog, Magie. Johnny was a kind man and loved all animals. He will be greatly missed. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, O.B. and Ruby C. Jones. He is survived by his siblings, Obie Jones, Eddie Jones, Margie Morris, Shirley Jones, Diann Dyke and Bonnie J. Herring; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite Humane Society in his name. I was not lucky enough to meet Johnny - but I feel like I know him through his brothers and sisters that I have met. I understand and have no doubt he was a great guy and that we would have been good friends. It is my loss. May he rest in peace.

Johnny was a wonderful caring brother. We came from a very large
family and when my mother and father were struggling to keep food on the table he worked small jobs to always help out. I will really miss him!

Johnny was an awesome uncle ... always reaching out and touching someone. A good man with a wonderful loving heart. He will be greatly missed and is loved dearly. His dog Maggie was a testament of his friendly wonderful attitude with life
