Tony was my sales partner while at HP, selling to NRL (Naval Research Lab), in our formative years. He was the best, in all ways. I love you, my brother, and I will miss you greatly. You left everyone you knew better for having experienced Tony Cox. RIP.

I met Tony through his Sister-in-law who was my work colleague and you couldn't meet a better person. He had a gentle spirit. My prayers are with the entire Cox family.

I met Tony in 1969 as a fellow new recruit for Boy Scout Troop 922 in Bethesda. I can still picture him at our first troop meeting. He was slender, shorter than me - that changed over the next five years - and had a super cool British accent - I had a Texas accent! We bonded soon after. From then on, through five years as fellow Boy Scouts - he made it to Life Scout, two years at Western Jr. High School, several years attending churches next door to each other, six years at KB Theatres, we maintained as good a friendship as I had with anybody. He served in my wedding, took me flying several times, and was a fine poker player at my friendly games. Tony was as steady and reliable as they come. He posessed a quick wit and a charming manner. Every friend that I introduced him to came away impressed by his graciousness and gentle spirit. I will miss him tremendously. To paraphrase Frau Blucher, " He vas my FRIEND!" - a line that Tony will well appreciate.

I first met Tony in elementary school and was looking forward to seeing him again at our 40th high school reunion. What a sad shock to learn of his passing. It was a pleasure and honor to know you, my old friend. Rest in peace until we meet again. My condolences to your family and everyone who knew and loved you.

I first met Tony when he was a tech for HP and I was on my first contract with NSA. Smart, honest, and honorable and a wonderful British sense of humour. Bonded by our backgrounds and love of everything British. I've never met anyone else to match him. In later years we'd meet up at Harris's Crab House with 'the gang' from my Navy & NSA days. Never managed to get him over here to shoot Snooker, Worse luck.

Words can not express my sadness and longing for days gone by at the HP coffee station sharing the trials and tribulations of government sales. Tony always had a way of making me laugh and softened the everyday bumps. I am lucky to have know him and may his memory for be a blessing for all knew him.

Tony, was not a really close friend or a friend that we would talk once a month with, but yet I am proud to call him friend. You know when you meet a person that you know is truly pure at heart and just someone that society should model after you feel blessed. This is the type of person, and then some, he was and today he is missed by me and I am truly sad for the loss. Now, I wish that I could have had that close type of friendship. True friendships are rare and way far apart, I am just thankful and blessed that I had the opportunity to meet him and to spend the limit time I did with him. This is the type of guy that would buy an expensive sports car and hand me the keys to drive it and not worry about anything, actually I was more worried than Tony, he kept saying “punch it, punch it”..lol. I felt that Tony would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, he's the type of person that I would want my kids to model after, if not me. He will be missed by so many and thought of often. Rest in Peace, my friend. Prayers to family and friends.

"I pick the prettiest part of the sky and I melt into the wing and then into the air, till I'm just a soul on a sunbeam." Fly high Tony!
