David Flynn Obituary
Dan joins his father, David Flynn, Sr., with the Lord in heaven. Left to mourn him are his mother, Irene Flynn; sisters Peggy (Ken) Franklin, Amy (Conrad) Osterwalder, Jeannie (Steve) Mathews, Carrie (late Harold) Harden, Linda (Scott) Syska, Diane (Jon) Strang and Mary (Will) Jackson, nine nephews, six nieces, 13 great-nieces and -nephews, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 22, at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, VA from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Battlefield Baptist Church, 4361 Lee Hwy, Warrenton, VA. Interment to follow at Bright View Cemetery.

I have to say, I was shocked upon learning of Dan's passing. My brother Bill called me with the sad news. Immediately my mind went to the days of our youth and the many fun times that I had with my cousin Dan. I know that it saw always a good time when we got together. Like when we were goofing around to the song "The tears of a clown" by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. I'm saddened that we didn't maintain correspondence over the years. I guess that life just got in the way. Military service, moving to different states and cities, work and family. Sadly we just lost touch. To Dan's sisters, my cousins Peggy, Amy, Jeanie, Carrie, Linda, Diane and Mary along with all of your families, please accept my deepest condolences. Dan was a blessing to me, and I'm sure many others. All our Love, Tom Flynn (Bill and Leona's youngest son) and family.

Dan and I were in many classes over the years and I always found him to be a very nice person with a good sense of humor. I also played baseball against him in Babe Ruth. He was a great sport and always had a smile, no matter whose team he was on.
