Francis Groman Obituary
GROMAN FRANCES "FRAN" GROMAN Age 62, suddenly on Saturday July 4, 2009, Frances Groman of Rockville MD. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Alvin Groman. Beloved and loving mother of Craig (Irene) Brodsky and Wendy (Vince) Borrelli; Loving sister of Robert (Diana) Silberman; Adored grandmother of Jacob Brodsky, Jonathan Brodsky, and Nico Borrelli. Fran was a dedicated teacher, mentor, reader and shopper. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 7 at 10 a.m. at Danzansky-Goldberg Memorial Chapels, Inc., 1170 Rockville Pike, Rockville MD 20852. Interment to follow at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the interment through Thursday evening at the residence of Craig and Irene Brodsky. Minyan services will be held each evening at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinsons Foundation of The National Capital Area.

Dear Craig and Wendy,
Your mother taught me in 5th grade in 1990 and she was a wonderful teacher. I was the "teachers pet" and all my friends made fun of me, but I didn't care because Ms. Groman was such an inspiration and taught me many life lessons. During the years I kept it touch with her at the annual Nordstrom's Sale and she was always sweet and kind and one of the main reasons I became a teacher. She will be missed! Dear Craig and Wendy: Your mother taught me in 6th grade almost 35 years ago. I still remember clearly her beautiful smile, enthusiasm and love for her students. I'm sure you don't remember because you were both so little, but you all as a family came to my parents' house for dinner. I was so thrilled that 'Mrs. Brodsky' would take the time to come to my house. It really made me feel special. Thanks for sharing her life with us.
