POLINGER HELEN POLINGER On Thursday, December 10, 2009, HELEN POLINGER of Takoma Park, MD. Beloved wife of the late Oscar Polinger; devoted mother of Brenda (Frank) Boches, Charles (Marta) and Paul (Susan Miller) Polinger; dear sister of Richard (Gloria), Morton (Lorraine) and Robert Brown and the late Ann Tarason; sister-in-law of Jean (the late Carl) Brown; loving grandmother of Karen (Barry) James, Joel Boches and Gregory Polinger; cherished great-grandmother of Ethan James. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009, 11 a.m. at TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 254 Carroll St. NW, Washington, DC, 202-541-1001. Interment following at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Adelphi, MD. After the interment, the family will receive relatives and friends at the late residence. Shiva will be observed Monday through Friday at the home of Brenda and Frank Boches. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850 or to the Montgomery County Humane Society, 14645 Rothgeb Drive, Rockville, MD 20850.

Dear Charles, Paul and Brenda: Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved mother and our cousin Helen. She was always a lovely woman. Cheerful and happy to see us. I can see her now dancing with your father at one of our special occasions and the gleam in both of their eyes. It is a great loss for our family.

Dear Brenda, Charles, and Paul, your mother was a very special person and has always had a place in our hearts. Our annual Christmas visits to your Mom and Dad, after dinner at Mrs. K's were as much a tradition as anything we did. Those visits will remain fondly in our hearts.
