JOHN WALTER DONELSON, JR.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Beloved father of Michael Davis and John W. Donelson, III. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 5 from 1 p.m. until Memorial Services at 2 p.m. at STEWART FUNERAL HOME, 4001 Benning Rd., NE. Interment private.

Hello Michael and Jay. My condolences to you and family. "Mr. John D." was a wonderful person. He will be truly missed. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. I will miss you, Uncle Bubby... Rest now from your labor... You labored long and hard and left us a great example of what endurance looks like. Those who endure until the end get the crown!! Yes!! I know you are wearing yours well. You deserve it! Love you always... Your favorite niece...or perhaps your "OTHER" favorite niece! Ha, ha, ha, ha... I will miss hearing you say that. Bye for now...

I will miss you Uncle. Your smile, your charisima and that laugh of yours. I will remember the good times and even the way you used to hide in the closet and scare me to death by jumping out when I was a kid. I will continue to treasure the first watch I ever owned given to me by you. So many things will remind me of you...and those things will make me smile. Your work here on Earth is done, so Rest Uncle Bubby and we will see you again.
