I met Mr. Blum last year when he came to the office of Congressman Chris Van Hollen to receive the medals he had earned during his service in World War II. Even from our brief meeting, it was apparent that Mr. Blum was a kind, caring man who was proud of and loved by his beautiful family. I know that they will miss him greatly. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mrs. Blum and to his children and grandchildren. They should know how honored our staff and Congressman Van Hollen were to meet them and give Mr. Blum the recognition he so deserved.
