Leon was a very nice man. I met him at church, Emmanuel Baptist Church over 40 yrs. ago. He always the same smiling and speaking to everyone. He was the head of the Usher Board, so he would be the first person you saw when you entered the church. He will be truly miss.

It is with great sadness after learning yesterday that our dearly beloved neighbor Leon Charles Randolph has been called to his new home in heaven.
He had been an active part of this community for 51 years as a well respected person. He care about the community, his neighbors and the many friends that he had made thru the years.
We will miss him deeply.

Uncle, as his great - niece and nieces and and nephews would call him, was a father figure to 2 or more generations of our family tree. He was someone to look up to, Uncle sat great examples of Being the best you, you could be. I miss him and will keep and cherish each and every moment with him, near and dear to my heart.

I live in the same apartment complex as Leon. We called him “Randy”. I watched Randy’s car sit in the same space for several weeks. I started inquiring about him. I was calling him on both his landline and mobile. Then I was informed last Thursday that he had died. It saddened me to hear that news. I still have difficult moments when I think about him and get saddened all over again. Randy was thoughtful, kind, considerate, and funny. When the cable or heat was off, he would always call me and ask me if mine was on. We would have great conversations and hilarious arguments. He loved the Washington football team. If I called while he was watching a sports game, he would speed up the conversation and get me off the phone. He also enjoyed golfing. There are so many things I could say, but I will limit myself.
In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love and miss you. May his soul rest in peace.
