Martin Clancy Obituary

CLANCY, MARTIN JOSEPH (Age 52)

Died March 12, 2004. A longtime resident of Boca Raton, FL, Martin was branch manager of JP Turner & Co., a securities investment firm in Boca Raton. Martin grew up in Bethesda, MD, where his family resided for nearly 30 years. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. He went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Geology from George Washington University and studied Chemistry in Graduate School at Georgetown University. Martin was also a skilled chef who enjoyed cooking for family and friends, a master gardener, a lover of music and an avid reader who appreciated a wide range of subjects. Martin was very outgoing, making friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his wife, Blanca and his son, Jon; his mother, Elizabeth Clancy; his sister, Julia Clancy-Smith (Carl Smith); his sister, Mary Czarnecki (Andrew); his brother, John Clancy (Colleen); his nephew, Chris; his nieces, Leah, Lizzy, Madeleine and Erin, as well as uncles, aunts and cousins. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 15 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL, followed by cremation. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 20 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Parish Chapel on King Street in Leesburg, VA.
