On Saturday, April 10, 2004, MICHAEL D. BROOKS, passed away at his residence in Leisure World in Silver Spring, MD. Mr. Brooks retired from American Security & Trust Bank in Washington, DC in 1979, after having worked there for 35 years. His first wife, Virginia Burgess Brooks, who died in 1982 and his second wife, Ruth Dietle Brooks, who died in 2003, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Marsha Brooks Greene and her husband, Robert of Huddleston, VA, Sandra Brooks Campbell and her husband, John of Marion, MT, Michelle Brooks Lowery and her husband, Doyle of Walkersville, MD and his precious four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at PUMPHREY'S COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 300 West Montgomery Avenue (Rte. 28, Just off I-270, Exit 6A), Rockville, MD on Friday, April 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 2011 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., 6th Floor, Washington, DC 20006. I am a High School Friend of Michelle Brooks who I have not seen in many years. I knew the family and her dad back in the 60s when we were school friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Michelle and her sisters. I am very sad and sorry to read of your loss.
