RICHARD FISHER Obituary


Deacon Richard Anthony Fisher  (Age 83)  
Of Ft. Washington, MD passed away on January 19, 2018. Born in Topeka, Kansas to the late Edward Fisher and Helen Fisher on April 29, 1934. Richard retired as an Electronic Technician with the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC. He was also a retired Deacon of 43 years of faithful service to the St. Columba Catholic Church in Oxon Hill, MD. He was an Air Force Veteran, and enjoyed playing the guitar.Richard is survived by his wife, Rachel. Daughter, Marie A. Norment; brothers, Bill and Tom Fisher; sisters, Marjorie Brown, and Kathy Rowe.A viewing will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. at the St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Interment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery. 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.Arrangements by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
