RICHARD SOURS Obituary
RICHARD IRVIN SOURS, SR. (Age 92)
Of Oakton, Virginia and Tucson, Arizona passed away on February 7, 2013 at Emeritus Senior Living in Tucson. Born April 6, 1920 in Luray, Virginia, the son of Lloyd and Bessie Sours, Richard graduated from Fairfax High School in 1937. He served in the Army during World War II. Richard enjoyed a long career in elevator service and inspection and, after retiring from the District of Columbia, he started his own elevator inspection business. Richard was an active member of the VFW, Kena Shriners, and The Oakton Church of the Brethren. Richard was beloved beyond words by his surviving brother and sisters of Northern Virginia, Lloyd Sours, Ruth Taylor, Hilda Schaeffer, Thelma Jones, and Frances Schindel. He was preceded in death by his sisters Marguerite Buckley and Velma Jones, and his daughter Robin. Richard is survived by his wife Mary Ellen and sons Richard Sours, Jr. and Ronald Sours of Tucson, Arizona. Memorial Service at a future date. Condolences may be sent to [email protected]
