Well, Bob and I have known each other since we grew up on Grant Ave., in Takoma Park in the late 1940's - early 1950's. (almost 68 years) We always kept in touch and knew each others ups and downs. We grew up at a time when you would go out to play in the morning and come home at dark - and it was always safe. We occasionally got in trouble, but it wasnt of the bad kind. Sometimes my fault, sometimes his. He even came to my rescue on more than one occasion when we were teenagers. I have very fond and deep memories of him and will really miss him. Take care Emily and all the rest of the Johnson family. Danny Longen

I just loved to hear Bob chuckle and he always had a smile. I know he loved the work that he did and we enjoyed the results (as a restaurant group as one of his clients). But mostly, I remember him as a teenager - always trying to make sure we had fun when I visited from Danville, Va. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to Emily, Brooke, and all of the rest of the family. Haven't seen most of Johnson family since I was in my teens, so hopefully we'll connect at the funeral. But know that Bob is in a better place and I'm sure still smiling. Sending positive thoughts to all the family and lots of strength to handle the next few days. xoxo pat

My sincere condolences to all the family, especially my tap dancing friend Emily. Bob's loss will cut deeply, but I know your faith will pull you all through and his wonderful memories will sustain you. With deepest sympathy,
