Hattie C. Rainey

Hattie C. Rainey, age 74, of Meriden passed away peacefully with her son by her side on September 1, 2025. She was born in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Charles Tremiew and Cecelia Sims Rollins. Hattie is survived by her beloved son Waymon Harrison of Meriden, her son Walter Scott, her granddaughter Justine Haney, her great grandson Eilon Scott, her brothers Vincent Rollins and Ernest Sims, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Hattie was predeceased by her sister Diane Lightner, brother George Rollins, and granddaughter Jasmine Scott. Prior to her retirement, Hattie enjoyed her career working for Cigna. Hattie's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Sept. 10th, from 9-10:30am at the Wallingford Funeral Home 809 N. Main St. Ext. Wallingford. A Funeral Service will commence at the funeral home at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
