Eric Sweet

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Eric Sweet, a thoughtful artist and adjunct professor at the University of Missouri, was born Sept. 15, 1970, and left us suddenly Monday, April 6, 2015.

An informal memorial was held Saturday evening, April 11, 2015, at Cosmo Park in the Lamb Shelter.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made toward The Eric Sweet Memorial scholarship Fund to support future generations of young artists who share his passion. Donations may be sent to Brenda Warren, A126 Fine Arts Building, University of Missouri Dept. Of Art, Columbia, MO 65211-6090.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Catherine Armbrust of Columbia; father, Noel Sweet of LaBelle; siblings, Ron (Ellen) Sweet and Diane Sweet; nieces and nephews; and other wonderful family members and friends.

His wit and humor will be missed by so many.

Eric was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Sweet of Dusseldorf, Germany (formerly of LaBelle), in 2009; mother Fay E. Sweet on Aug. 25, 2014; a brother in infancy, Randal; and a nephew, Ryan Sweet in 2013.
