Nancy Brumback "Sue" Korinek

Nancy Korinek Obituary

Nancy "Sue" Brumback Korinek, 70, died Jan. 2, 2014, in Las Vegas.

She was born Feb. 15, 1943, in Quincy, a daughter of Harold and Emma Lee Orth Brumback. In 1962, she married Ralph Wenneker in First Baptist Church, Durham, Mo. She later married Steve Korinek on Feb. 29, 1996, in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death.

Sue was a 1961 graduate of Ewing (Mo.) High School and attended what is now Truman State University. She had been employed for 12 years at Artcraft Inc. in Quincy before moving to Nevada in 1975. From 1975 until her retirement in 2009, she was in the gaming business in Reno, Nev., and retired as a supervisor of the casino cage at the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Survivors include a brother, William S. Brumback (Marsha) of Palmyra; a sister, Pat Brumback Gore, of Lake St. Louis; a nephew, David Cason; nieces, Lori Green, Sarah Broker, Carrie Peltz and Beth Arokoyo; several great-nieces and nephews; and stepsons, Tom and Paul Korinek, of Arizona.

In addition to her husband, Steve, she was preceded in death by her parents.

SERVICES: Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.

MEMORIALS: Ewing Memorial Cemetery Association.
