Robert Arnold Obituary

Robert E. "Bob" Arnold, 67, formerly of 2109 State, died at 4:18 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 4, 2010) in Blessing Hospital.

He was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Quincy, a son of Lawrence H. and Doris A. Kaiser Arnold. On May 18, 1974, he married Cecelia A. "Cele" Hays in Monroe City, Mo. She survives.

Bob was known as "Peanuts" by his friends and family while he was growing up. He was a 1961 Quincy High School graduate. He worked in sales all his life. He owned and operated Arnold Beauty Supply and Repair from 1977 to 1992. Bob sold insurance from 1992 until the present time. He often remarked on how much he loved both businesses.

He was a member of Tabernacle of Praise in Hannibal.

Survivors include: three sons, Rob (Jill) Arnold of Quincy, Chris (Rochelle) Arnold of Port Byron, and Brant (Stacey) Arnold of Quincy; a daughter, Kelly (Tony) Klingele of Quincy; 12 grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Arnold, both of Quincy, Janae Arnold of Port Byron, Katie Klingele of Dekalb, Kasey Klingele of Quincy, Kyle and Kory Klingele, both of Quincy, Nicki Campbell of Virginia Beach, Va., and Matthew, Andrew, Adam and Eric Arnold, all of Quincy.

Also surviving are a great-grandchild, Jayden Campbell; two brothers, Larry (Yvonne) Arnold and Ray (Marcia) Arnold, all of Liberty; two sisters, Karen (Dean) Jingst of Liberty and Patty (Dean) Westerman of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Arnold; and a niece, Sommer Arnold.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Monday in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Revs. Bruce Battle and Rod Bakker officiating. Burial will be in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Liberty.

VISITATION: 4-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: To the family or Birthright of Quincy.

ARRANGEMENTS: The Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Whenever I seen Bob He was always in a great mood always laughing and making others laugh. Oh what a great guy he was and he will truley be missed by me and my whole family. Memories are forever. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Cele-I'm sorry for yor loss.I went thru the same thing just a couple weeks ago myself.It's hard i won't lie,but what keeps me strong is i kno John is w/ Jesus and i will see him again and the same for you.Bob is dancing w/ angels right now and no more sickness....yor in my prayers/thought Cele
