Sharon Dittmer Obituary

QUINCY -- Sharon Ehrhardt Dittmer, 73, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., formerly of Quincy, died Thursday (Jan. 15, 2015) in Florida.

She was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Quincy, the daughter of Alfred and Janet Ehrhardt.

Sharon was one of the original owners of the Sheridan Swim Club in Quincy.

She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

Sharon loved country music, the beach, NASCAR and butterflies. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and truly loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Lori (Neal) Cornwell of Quincy, Lynn (Tom) Sawyer of Winter Park, Fla., and Lesa Taylor of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two sons, Doug Dittmer of Ponce Inlet, Fla., and Dustin (Calley) Dittmer of Winter Springs, Fla.; her mother, Janet Ehrhardt of Quincy; a sister, Janie "DD" Fischer of Quincy; a brother-in-law, Michael Simmons of Golden, Colo.; 14 grandchildren, Nicole (Cornwell) Woodyard and her husband, Chuck, of Quincy, Scott Cornwell of Midland, Texas, Matthew Cornwell of Quincy, Kristin (Sawyer) Rebeck and her husband, Mike, of Arlington, Va., Tom Sawyer and his wife, Shannon, of Winter Park, Rebecca Sawyer of Quincy, Gabrielle Dittmer of Apopka, Fla., D.J. Dittmer of Ponce Inlet, Adam and Lea Taylor of California, Dylan Taylor of Cocoa Beach and Abby and Elly Dittmer of Winter Park Springs; eight great-grandchildren, Haley, Logan and Colin Woodyard of Quincy, Logan and Sawyer Rebeck of Arlington, Thomas, Avery and Griffin Sawyer of Winter Park.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Ehrhardt, and her sister, Donna Simmons of Golden, Colo.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, memorial service will be at the Good Samaritan Home Chapel at 2130 Harrison, in Quincy. Cremation rites have been accorded.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, until time of service at the chapel.

MEMORIALS: Good Samaritan Home, Quincy, or to the donor's choice.
