David C. Amoling

David Christopher Amoling, age 48, of Manomet, died March 16, 2011 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich following a long illness. David leaves behind his mother Joan Lamond-LaRue, and her husband Alfred LaRue, and his brother Jonathan Amoling and his wife Heather. He also leaves his stepbrothers Alfred LaRue Jr., Timothy LaRue, Matthew LaRue and his wife Rhanda, and his stepsister Jessica LaRue, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. David worked as a carpenter and lobster man He was an accomplished chess player from a very young age. David was an avid reader, especially issues regarding human rights. He went to Washington DC on many occasions to protest issues of great importance to him. A visitation will be held at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, on Sunday, March 20, from 6 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass the following day will be private. Cremation will follow at the Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth, with burial in the Manomet Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Davids memory may be made to the McCarthy Care Center, 73 Service Rd., East Sandwich MA 02537.
