Mr. Arthur Eldridge, 76, formerly of the Castle Heights Community, The Lutheran Home and 461 W. 25th St., was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, born on Nov. 21, 1929, to Daniel H. Eldridge and Emma Allen Eldridge. Mr. Eldridge passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005 at Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury after a lengthy illness. He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. He was retired from Lucent Technologies (AT&T). Mr. Eldridge was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, which he loved very dearly. He was a member of the Pastor's Aide and Senior Choir and served diligently until his health failed. Mr. Eldridge was a member of Salem Lodge 139 and American Legion Post No. 220. Arthur was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Mozella Rogers Eldridge; three brothers, Early Daniel, David Franklin and Paul Turner; and two sisters, Elsie Wiley and Emma Jean Smith. Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Betty (Kie Sr.) Gray and Bertha Jones, both of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law, Claudette Culbreath; two brothers-in-law, Vernard Rogers and Tyrone Roger; and a host of other devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, Dec. 23, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles E. Gray officiating. The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown. (Clark S. Brown & Sons)

Aunt Betty, I did'nt realized your brother had gone on to be with the Lord. You and uncle Kie have did so much for so many. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you guys!!! I love you!!!
