January 4, 1935 - July 23, 2022
Betty Jo Mobley Joiner passed away on Saturday, July 23 at Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and served by the loving staff at Brookridge where she resided in the Memory Care Unit. Betty was born in Dublin, GA on January 4, 1935. She lived in Winston-Salem with her husband and family for 55 years where she was known to spread joy, kindness, and baked goods with love and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, J. Franklin Joiner of Winston-Salem; her children: Julie (Ernie) Vogel of Kingsport, TN; and Brian Joiner of Dallas, TX; sister Ann (Leonard) Snipes of Winston-Salem; and brother Jimmy (Brenda) Mobley of Dublin, GA. She also had three treasured grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A service of remembrance will be held at Salem Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Road, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 13. The family will receive guests following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Senior Services/Meals on Wheels of Winston-Salem. Online condolences may be made at www.salemfh.com.

Betty is dearly missed at the Beauty Shop. I loved doing her hair and that sweet smile, and that sweet spirit. She was always a beauty. Frank is a treasure and they shared a wonderful compassion for each other. Truly how a couple should be. In love till the end, and after. Truly a blessing to know them both.

So sorry to hear of Betty´s passing. We always enjoyed talking to Betty at the neighborhood picnic in Hope Valley. She will be missed.
