Jackie Mabe Obituary

MABE WALNUT COVE - Mrs. Jackie Mabe, 73, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Life Care Center, Tullahoma, Tenn. She was born on March 6, 1934, in Forsyth County to James A. Chambers and Pheobe Walsh. She retired from Dize Awning and Tent Co., Winston-Salem, with 43 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2003, Floyd C. Mabe Sr. She is survived by a daughter, Susie Mabe of Walnut Cove; three sons, Floyd C. Mabe Jr. and wife Wanda Sue of Walnut Cove, Artie Mabe and wife Tammy, and Mike Mabe and wife Christy, all of Germanton; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stokes County, P.O. Box 10, Danbury, NC 27016. Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home, Tullahoma is assisting the family.

Jackie was always a kind and sweet lady to me. I liked her and working with her at Dize was a pleasure. I remember , at Christmas time, every year , she gave everyone a little stocking, with a special bottled treat inside! She will be missed alot. She will live in our hearts forever.
