DANBURY - Mr. Kenneth Charles Stephens, 44, died at his home Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005. He was born May 29, 1960, to Charles Leonard and Maxine Shelton Stephens. Mr. Stephens and his wife Connie are the owners of Harold Mabe Septic Tank Inc. In addition to his father, Leonard Stephens, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dewey and Kate Shelton; his paternal grandfather, Leonard Stephens; and a special uncle, David Stevens. Surviving are his wife, Connie Sheppard Stephens; his daughter, Autumn Emerald "Emmy" Stephens; his mother, Maxine Shelton Stephens; his sister, Carolyn (Byrd) Brewer; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Stephens; his nephew, Alan Brewer; two uncles, Roger (Janet) Stevens and Harold (Maybell) Shelton; and several special relatives and friends. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Monday, Jan. 17, at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening, Jan. 16, at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Lawsonville Elementary Scholarship Fund, c/o Lawsonville Elementary School, NC Hwy. 8, Lawsonville, NC 27022.
