Mrs. Lurline K. Tyson, 91, of Norwood Nursing Facility, formerly of 2209 E. 22nd St., peacefully passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004. She was born to Dewitt and Lyda Keith in Darlington, S.C. She is survived by a son, whom everyone affectionately knows as Wendall. Locally she is survived by two nieces, Natalie McGueen and Louise (David) Lowery. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Hanes Memorial CME Church, where the Rev. Metcalf will officiate. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. The funeral cortege will assemble and leave from the home of a niece, Natalie McQueen, 108 Hicks St. A special thanks to the staff of Norwood Nursing Facility and the staff of Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Gilmore Funeral Home Service.
