HAUSER MOUNT AIRY ~ Rosa Elizabeth Hodges Hauser Feb. 16, 1933 ~ May 28, 2011 Mrs. Rosa Elizabeth Hodges Hauser, 78, of 1124 Fowler Road, Mount Airy, passed away on Saturday night, May 28, 2011, at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Hauser was born February 16, 1933, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Major Lee and Gleamer Hawks Hodges. Rosa retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was involved in WMU and Grandmas Club. She was a volunteer at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Hauser Sessoms of Mount Airy; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James Wade Hauser, Jr. of Ararat, Jeff and Margaret Hauser of Mount Airy, and Dr. John D. and Robin Hauser of Ararat; four grandchildren, Brent and wife Christine Casstevens, Bradley Hauser and fianc‚e Whitney Armstrong, Jacob Hauser, and Kailen Hauser; a great-grandchild, Zac Casstevens; two stepgrandchildren, Logan Phillips and Carter Phillips; a sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Leonard Davenport of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law, Iris Hodges of Woodbridge, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hauser was preceded in death by her husband, James Wade Hauser, Sr.; and three brothers, Arlis Hodges, Marlan Hodges, and Glenn Hodges. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Mr. Greg Davenport and the Rev. Alex L. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
