Wilma Georgia Wilmoth Simpson

SIMPSON ELKIN - Mrs. Wilma Georgia Wilmoth Simpson, age 88, of Elkin, NC passed away on September 7, 2010 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on August 5, 1922 to the late Tyson Basil and Lillian Dinkins Wilmoth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Alonzo Simpson; and a brother, Kelly Wilmoth. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress. Surviving are: her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Quincy McBride of Oklahoma City, OK; three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Kaye Simpson of Winston-Salem, Donald and Jean Simpson of Elkin, James and Debbie Simpson of Elkin; nine grandchildren: Tonya Simpson, Matthew Simpson, Allison Simpson Allen, David Simpson, Amy McBride Windsor, John McBride, Jessica McBride Griffin, Drew Simpson, Dara Simpson; eleven great-grandchildren; sister Juanita Davis of Garner; and brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Margaret Wilmoth of California. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Fairview Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church cemetery. Dr. Andy Atkins will conduct the Services. The family will receive friends at Fairview Baptist Church on Saturday morning, September 11, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of her Service. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Simpson Family.
