Andrew John "(Andy)" Rolniak

1936 - 2013

Andrew John Rolniak, 77, entered into God's loving hands, surrounded by his family, on Aug. 27, 2013.
Andrew was born in Chicago, Ill., on May 15, 1936, to Andrew J and Anna (Schwab) Rolniak. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 42 years. Andrew and his family made Alamogordo their home for the last 27 years and maintained many close relationships from his hometown. Andrew, better known as Andy, was well known for his carpentry skills, his tomatoes and his love of Chicago sports.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Margaret (Windisch) Rolniak, and their children Andrew Rolniak III and his wife, Karen, of Houston, Texas; Dwayne Rolniak and his wife, Bernadine, of Centerville, Ohio; Michelle (Rolniak) Younts and her husband, H. Carter, of Houston, Texas; Dennis John Rolniak, of San Antonio, Texas; Raymond C. Vallia and his wife, Becky, of Lubbock, Texas; Jeffrey W. Vallia, of Farmington, Ark.; and Laura Vallia-Bowman and her husband, Keith, of Alamogordo. He is also survived by his bother Wally and sister Anne Stoots, both of Chicago.
He will be greatly missed by 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
