Mary Frye Obituary

MARY C. FRYE, of South Charleston, passed away February 4, 2025. Mary was born February 17, 1947 to the late Russell and Betty Tudor. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved grandmothers, Mary Smithson and Cornelia Tudor, and her brother Russ Tudor.
Mary was raised in Montgomery, WV. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School and West Virginia Tech. Mary worked for KB&T and United Bank for over 40 years.
Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Howard; her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Mike Flowers; her most favorite, her grandson Ryan Flowers; and her brother-in-law, Ernie Frye. Mary also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Her cat and dog, Beaker and Pippy, miss her already.
There will be no service per Mary's wishes.
In lieu of flowers do something Mary would do, care for a stray cat, ask a random person to pet their dog, read a book, plant a flower, or talk to a complete stranger for a minimum of 15 minutes and find that you, in fact, have something in common. My mom was a great listener and an even better talker, and I too already miss her beyond what I could have imagined.

Mary sometimes called me while on her Sunday morning walks thru Kanawha City. She´d be excited to see the first blooms of Spring and her favorite were irises. This Spring, a " Mary´s Garden" will be planted here in North Carolina
Mary, I´ll miss your laugh.
She was so proud of all of you
