I have fond memories of Andy and the entire Thompson family. Knowing Andy as a counselor at Dallastown his compassion and caring was his approach. His smile will always be remembered. I learned a great deal about integrity, ethics and being child centered from The family and have him and everyone in my prayers.

I hadn't seen Andy in many years but I have very fond memories of him. He was easily one of the nicest and hardest working players I had ever coached. He was also a really great person. I am very sorry for his loss. My heart goes out to his family.

Words will never express the impact that Andy had on all of us. From the moment we played football, ate lunch together, went on "missions" or just hanging out; we all knew Andy was "our" guy. He prepared us for life beyond our formidable years so that when we had to make certain decisions we could and knew how to. Andy's spirit and legacy will continue to live through each of us. All of us express our deepest sympathies for "Dr. T" and the "B-Meister", and Danny.
Andy: you will forever remain our friend, our confidant, our leader and our homie.

Andy will always be so loved and will be greatly missed. I have so many fond and wonderful memories of all of our kids growing up on Exeter Drive. Watching all of our boys spend hours playing day and night was a blessing. It was so good to see Andy and hug him when Rilynn was at 1st grade orientation last year. I cant imagine how you and everyone else who loves him is getting through life right now. I know you are minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day. I have been praying for you a lot. I pray that Gods grace, hope and love will sustain you every second. I pray that your broken hearts can heal little by little as time goes on. I am so very very sorry. Words are just not enough to express our sympathy to you. ❤. Deb and Dave

I met Andy at Pitt. He was one of the most down to earth and kindest people I have known. He never had anything negative to say about anyone that wasn't purely in jest. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Words cannot express the sadness. Andy was for me, both a beloved student and a co-worker at Dallastown. A contagious smile, a caring spirit, a kind heart. Always ready to help others. I cannot imagine the void that his loss will be for his family and friends. My prayers and grief are with Dr. and Mrs. Thompson, Dan, his girls, his friends and all family members. Love to all.

Mr. Thompson was an amazing assistant principal. He was always willing to take his time with both of my daughters. My oldest daughter who happens to have Down syndrome, was particularly fond of Mr. Thompson. He will be deeply missed.

One of the fondest memories I have of Andy is when he was a counselor at Dallastown Middle School, we were on an Outbound trip to Williamsburg and we were spending a rainy day at Busch Gardens during their Halloween setup and he was running a fever but still pushing through watching kids that were frightened walking through the haunted park. Always putting the kids needs before his own.
