DJ Long Obituary
In his teen years DJ worked in several of the family businesses. After high school, he joined the Army, worked the Louisiana coast oil rigs and was a long distance truck driver.
Through friends, DJ met his wife of 33 years, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Long. DJ was clearly a very caring and devoted family man as he cared for Jackie's parents during their years of declining health amidst his own physical challenges.
DJ enjoyed camping in the Eastern Sierras, restoring older vehicles, and delighted in his father-in- law's jazz sessions with other professional musicians. DJ always had a story to tell about his travels.
DJ leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jackie, sister, Laura L. Bump and family in Houston, Texas and a myriad of friends in the Pasadena area.
