Harold Y. Grove

Harold Y. Grove, 69, entered into rest on Friday, April 23, 2004 at 5:24 a.m. at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lettie M. (Hill) Grove, to whom he had been married since December 14, 1957. He was an inspector with ACCO. He was a member of Dallastown American Legion Post #605, 12th Ward Democratic Club, Local Steel Workers Union, and a past member of York Buckhorn Hunting Club. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Jacobus and was a Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in North Hopewell Township on March 27, 1935, he was the son of the late Oliver and Carrie E. (Lutz) Grove. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rodney C. Grove and wife Roxanne of Red Lion and Gregory A. Grove and wife Gina of Jacobus; three grandchildren, Nathan D. Grove, Chaz E. Grove and Chelsea R. Grove; two brothers, Howard G. Grove of Dallastown and Earl L. Grove of Stewartstown; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Everett, Paul and Ross Grove; and sisters, Frieda Grove, Evelyn Grove, Thelma Wolgamuth, Erma Amspacher, Grace McGee, Helen Ritz and Mildred Lanius. Viewings will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004 and Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred A. Walthour, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dallastown Union Cemetery.
