We are so saddened to hear about Bud's passing. I know that he was a good friend to my father, Harry, and much admired in the community.
Fondly,
Marian (Fields) Broderick

He never aged.

My generous Dad...at age 80 he looked 59...he never aged and was rarely sick...This is a photo I took on September, 11, 2009, at the Baltimore Train Station. Dad did not go into work that Friday morning, so that he could drive me to the station, so that I could get back to New York City for a Yankees Game that night, to draw and paint one of the Athlete's milestone hits.

This is Dad around his Yale Law School days. No wonder my mother fell for him.

My father played the clarinet beautifully. Many people, including concert musicians, encouraged him to perform publicly. He only did so occasionally. He was self-effacing, too humble, about his talent.

Dear, dear Rubin family. I just learned of this today and my heart is broken that we did not know in time to be with you and to offer you our love and condolences in person. Emily Leader

My Dad enjoyed every second of his time with Derreck. They are both talented-gifted jocks!

My Dad was ahead of his time. He was a leader who led by example while being an incredible nurturer. We were very close. I was Daddy's Girl, in a family of all girls, but not a spoiled one. Far from it. I attended York's rough and tough inner city schools. My parents wanted us to grow up in an integrated setting.
We were not rich. He never gave us credit cards.
He gave me love, an open mind, an open heart, and a demand within myself to be self-disciplined and steady, to remain focused on achieving, for a higher moral purpose, rather than for ego or greed.
My Dad was my primary nurturer and my best friend.
My Dad was an Artist, a great musician and a beautiful mind, with a beautiful soul and an expansive, open view of the world.
Words cannot express my heart at this time.
Thank you for what you gave to us, and to America, and to the world.
Straight to the point:
Dad, you are an Artist. You were a champion of truth and fair competition. You were committed to realness, rather than false hype and petty games.
Dad, I am so miserable, but thankful that you did not suffer in your transition to heaven.
I love you, Dad.

daughter, Jane Rubin (not Jan)

Bud was a good man and a great attorney. The whole York community is poorer for his passing. Sincerely, M/M J. A. Bracher

Having met Bud Rubin in recent times, I enjoyed knowing him, his appreciation of music, of York PA. I count blessings having known Bud and his wife, Peggy.

I will miss talking with my brother, Bud, and listening to his always wise advice, He was the finest man I've ever known, even if he was my brother. Loved him very much.
