Martin Yingling Obituary

Martin L. Yingling, 83, died Thursday morning, November 27, 2003. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (McCool) Yingling to whom he was married for 52 years. Mr. Yingling was born in Lilly, Pa. on December 27, 1919, he was the son of the late Martin L. and Christina A. (Eger) Yingling. Mr. Yingling retired after 18 years of service from York Suburban School District and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by a son, Dale M. Yingling of York; a daughter, Lyn A. Hollinger of Wellsville; two grandchildren, Alexander and Kariann; a sister, Hope McAllister of Ebensburg, Pa.; a brother, Edgar Yingling of Johnstown, Pa.; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingstown Rd., York. Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery with flag presentation by York County Veteran Honor Guard. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York is in charge of arrangements.
