Michael E. "Big Mike" Kinard, 77, entered into rest Thursday December 7, 2017 at his office. He was the husband of the late Sharron J. "Peg" (Welsh) Kinard, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Viewings will be 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Kinard was born September 24,1940 in York a son of the late Ray E. "John" and Dorothy E. (Gruver) Kinard. He was a 1958 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and was the owner of J & J Garage and Used Cars. He was a member of the York County Garageman's Association, the Girard AA, Viking AA, Delphia AA, Victory AA, Hawk Gunning Club, First Capital Cruisers car club, and the O.F.C.
Mike is survived by his children, Sherry L. Jones, Michael T. Kinard and wife, Karen, Lori A. Lehr and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Brandon and Jonathan Jones, Stacy Kinard, Michael T. Kinard, Jr., Kimberly Ann Becker, Kaila A. Lehr, and Luke M. Lehr; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Lighthiser of Hudson, OH; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Randall Jones.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
