Russell Yohe, Jr

York - Russell L. Yohe, Jr., 53, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital. He was the husband of Lisa A. (Beinhower) Yohe to whom he was married for 28 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held from 4-6PM, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be private at the convenience of family. Officiating the service will be long time friend, Ed L. Sweitzer.

Born December 26, 1964 in York, he was the son of Brenda (Long) Bastress and her husband, James of York.

He was dedicated hard working employee with the Laborers' International Union of North America—Local 1180 for the past 31 years.

Russell loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Russell is also survived by four children, Joshua Yohe, Matthew Yohe and fiancée, Chelcea, Jeremiah Yohe and wife, Kayla, Tiffany Yohe and fiancé, Austin; eight grandchildren, Julia, Jordan, Isabelle, Jaiden, Maddelyn, Atoniee, Jeremiah Jr., and Kohyn; one brother, Wayne Yohe and fiancée, Jen; two sisters, Brenda Keller and Kate Gladfelter and husband, Scott and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Braven Yohe.

So very sorry to hear of his passing. I got to know him from years of working on the Pettibone's he was operating on the job. I would be there to repair them and he always took time to chat and I really appreciated that. Very sad to hear. My condolences to his family.

Please accept my condolences. Please know that the God of comfort feels your pain and sorrow. He actually provides something better to look forward to. Jeremiah 29:11 specifically tells us God wants to give us a peaceful "future and hope." He promises in the near future all the pain and sorrow you are experiencing about your loss will be gone and we will be able to enjoy perfect life with all our loved ones.

What do you say in a time like this. No words will help heal your pain. I just want to say that during this difficult time my condolences are with you and your family. Rus was a good man and dad. Extremely hard working, it showed by living through you guys and the outpouring posts. Tiff always told me "my dad loves to work." He's a hard working man and does what he has to for the family. Nothing will heal this hard time and although it may not get easier remember he's at peace and that he will be looking up above guiding you and watching over you. He loved you all so much!

Lisa, Tiffany, Jeremy and all other family members, my heart aches for you guys. I can not even begin to know what you're feeling right now. I was shocked when I heard. I am so sorry this happened. Russ was a great guy and I'm so sorry for your loss. I am here for you anytime you need me.
