HAMLET, N.C. — Larry S. Snell, 64, of Hamlet, passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
Larry will be remembered by his family for the tales he told, the entertainment he provided and the humor he shared.
Mr. Snell is preceded in death by his parents, Lois and George Snell of Hamlet.
He is survived by daughters Jennifer Snell, Leslie Snell, Brooke Snell, all of Rockingham, Samantha Snell of the home and their mother, Effie. He will always be Papa to his granddaughter, Coraline. Left to share his memory are his brothers, Danny (Mary Ann) Snell of Mint Hill, Will (Leslie) Snell of Huntersville, and Buddy Snell of Rockingham. Mr. Snell is also survived by nephews Ron (Nanci) Snell of Mint Hill and John (Amy) Snell of Mooresville; niece Ashley (Milas) Shepherd of Fairfield, Connecticut; great-nephews, Travis, Sam, Luke, Micah and great-niece, Selah.
Services will be private.
Memorials may be made to Hamlet Rescue Squad, 302 Champlain St., Hamlet, N.C. 28345.

Danny , Buddy and Will , I was so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I understand how you must feel with the loss of your brother. Larry was a kind soul and I remember him as being one of the coolest guys I had ever known. It is only comforting to know Aunt Lois and Uncle George will once again find laughter in Larry's jokes and stories. Hope you all are well. Gene Garris

Classmates at Hamlet High School...always enjoyed spending time with Larry. Hadn't seen him in years, but truly appreciated his friendship. RIP...
