Bob McDermott Obituary

Bob succumbed to heart disease on December 30th, 2016. He was born on March 4th, 1947 in Seattle, Washington.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tom, and his brother, Mike. Bob is survived by his mother, Bette, wife Kay (of 43 years), sister, Ramona, sons Toby and Anthony (Gooch), daughter-in-law Malia, grandchildren Alena, Koby, and AJ, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Auburn High School and served in Vietnam in the United States Navy. He then joined the King County Fire Marshall office in 1972. Bob was a charter member of the King County Arson Unit formed in 1975. Bob served briefly as a volunteer firefighter in Federal Way in the 70's. He was also active with the Federal Way Little League as a coach and supporter. Bob retired from service in 1999.

He loved playing softball, RV-ing, and spending time with friends and family.

Per Bob's request there will be no services; but if you get together, raise a glass to Bob and know he is at peace.
