Ethan Carnes Obituary

DRESDEN: Ethan N. Carnes, 90, of Dresden, died at 9:04 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
Mr. Carnes was born July 15, 1920 a son of the late William and Blanche (Roberts) Carnes, near Blue Rock in Muskingum County. He was a life long farmer and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by a son, Ralph Carnes, and a daughter, Rosalie Carnes, both of Dresden; eight grandchildren, Angela (Danny) Manbeck, Heather (Mark) Jackson, Tisha (Bobby) Walters, Todd (Yumiko) Carnes, Brad (Tracy) Carnes, Jacqueline Hutton, Jennifer Carnes, Richard Carnes; great grandchildren, Randy, Victoria, Jesse, Keirsten, Noel, Layken, Travis, Mai, Anthony, Alex, Andrew, Josh, Kelsey, Cheyenne, Micah; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (Thomas) Carnes whom he had married May 23, 1942, she preceded him in death on April 26, 1995; a brother, Delmar Carnes; and sisters, Olive Wilson and Marie Carnes.
Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home where services will be held on Friday, October 1st at 11 a.m. with Kenneth Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Church Cemetery.
