Dear Madleine, Eric and Yvonne -

I am so sorry to hear of Marjorie's passing, especially so soon after you lost Becky. I lived on White Street and worked for Mrs Gorton. She inspired me to work at SCDHHS in the Bureau of Long Term Care ensuring the elderly, disabled and those with special needs of SC receive the best of care and maintain the highest quality of life possible. Mrs Gorton was a hard worker with a loving heart.

May your memories bring you comfort during this truly difficult time.

Sincerely,
Cindy Pedersen

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
