Gladys A. (Mary) Leveroni
Waterville
Gladys A. (Mary) Leveroni, 100, of Daytonville Rd., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at her home. She was born March 27, 1909, in New York City, the daughter of the late Edward and Lena Mannini Cuneo, and received her education there. In 1930, in Queens, she married Ernest A. Leveroni. The Leveroni's resided in Waterville since 1972. Mr. Leveroni passed away in 1974. Mrs. Leveroni was the oldest living parishioner of St. Bernard's Church, Waterville. Gladys was a devoted and loving wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family, play cards and was an avid reader. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Reuter, with whom she resided; three grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Dan Maine of Waterville, Kyle and Scott Legacy of Waterville, and Rick and Sue Reuter of Utica; five great-grandchildren, Christopher and Cassie Maine, Samantha Maine, Kristin Legacy, Kolbey Legacy and Michael Reuter; one great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Marie Maine; her beloved dog, Maggie; and special family friends, Jim and Christina Bushmann. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Richard Reuter, and her brother, Harold Cuneo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, Waterville. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. In memory of Mrs. Leveroni, kindly consider the St. Bernard's Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home,Waterville. To the family especially Kyle...I remember your grandma very well and all the wonderful memories of her while we were teenagers and used to spend time together in your home. God Bless all of you and may your memories help to ease some of the pain of your loss.
