Betty Gaddy Obituary

GADDY, Betty Lou

Betty Lou Jones Gaddy, of Chamblee, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in 1942 in Richmond, Virginia, she lived a life filled with love for her family, friends, and the simple joys of her garden.

Betty was known for her kind spirit and her nurturing heart. She found particular delight in the quiet satisfaction of growing tomatoes in her small but beloved garden, a testament to her belief in caring for living things and watching them thrive.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, A. Frank Gaddy, Jr.

Her memory will be cherished by her family, including her brother, Dale Jones, of Richmond, Virginia; her son, David Gaddy, of Dallas, Georgia; and her grandsons, Nick Gaddy of Marietta, Georgia, and Travis Gaddy of Tacoma, Washington.

Betty will be remembered for her love of her family and her neighbors, whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love that has been sown in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you simply plant a tomato in a garden and think of Betty.
