Anne Lipsius Obituary

LIPSIUS, Anne

Mrs. Anne Davis Cox Lipsius, age 94, of Eastanollee, GA, formerly from the Atlanta area, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born March 4, 1931 in Cordele, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles "Charlie" Brown Davis, Sr. and the late Veronica Owens Wells.

Mrs. Lipsius was an electrician with Lockheed Martin, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.

Family members include her daughters, Sherry Cox Estep (James Addison), of Eastanollee, and Ronnie Rippy (Harrel Hall), of Norcross; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and friend and caregiver, Anita Rivers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lipsius; daughter, Shirley Cathryn "Cathy" Cox Hardy (Bryan); brother, Colonel Charles "Charlie" Brown Davis, Jr.; and aunt, Annie Gamble.
