Brother it has been five years since you have been gone and as I think about you I think of all the good times we shared. It has not been the same since the devastation of Katrina not only is everyone apart but we are growing older and that's make it a bit trying to physically see each other.I constantly think of you and remember all the good and bad but to GOD be the glory because your time here with your family was an appointed times and you was called home. You're in a better place now and one day soon we will see each other again.LOVE YOU.MISS YOU DEEPLY.Sheila.

AS THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY APPROACHES I CAN STILL PICTURE YOU TAKING YOUR PART IN SINGING THE TEMPTATIONS, SILENT NIGHT EVERY TIME I HEAR THE SONG I PICTURE IT JUST LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. THEN YOU WOULD PUT ON YOUR DANCE AND MAKE ME LAUGH UNTIL I WAS IN TEARS. GONE BUT DEFINITELY NOT FORGOTTEN WE LOVE YOU UNCLE NAT.

Boy! Uncle Nat I sure miss you. At times when we encounter you would say(Girl, you are a beautiful black woman, all the women in my family are beautiful.) And you'll also say that I was your favorite niece. Then a few minutes would ask for a cigarette or money. Thinking about you sometimes put tears in my eyes. Not because I'm sad, but because I miss you more than I know. Remembering you dance, sing, doing your Christmas performance yearly, your laugh, you clowning around, and even miss when you would get full of it and act disruptive. You be so comical sometimes I would laugh my head off. I miss everything about you, there never be another you. You were one of a kind. You was my funniest Uncle to have fun with and be around. I love you and you are truly miss.

To my loving brother, Nathaniel. Words can not express how I miss you. You will be in my heart, always. I have so many good memories of the fun and good times we shared from childhood to becoming adults. I thank God for allowing the 49 years that he let me share with you, not only being my brother, but also my best friend. Loving you always.Your "Big Sis", like you always called me.

To the family and friends,
Even though I did not know Nathaniel personally, I feel compelled to share my feelings with you about the comfort that I received from the Bible when I lost my father, brother, and husband, in the hope that it may bring you some comfort, too.. Even I, a stranger, still feel sad about what has happened to ones lost in death due to natural disasters and other unforeseen events. I do not want to deepen your sorrow, but just to offer some comforting thoughts from a wise ancient lawyer, more famously known as the apostle Paul of the Holy writings, that helped me in my time of sorrow. He said to remember "the God of comfort" who comforts us in all our sorrow. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4.) This has been my source of peace and can be yours, too. God will comfort us. This has helped me and I hope this little seed of comfort will sprout for you. Just know that many people do care and have not forgotten. When things like this happen, all of our hearts are broken. We care, too.
