Lincoln Smith, 80, a resident of Orleans Parish on August 29, 2005. Beloved husband of Lorraine Howard Smith. Loving father of Carolyn Honore, Montgomery Smith, Gregory Smith, Stephanie Boone and Dawn Carriere. Also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eleven nieces and nephews. Son of the late Lincoln Smith and Lones Goudeau Smith. A veteran of WWII who received several medals of honor for his service on the island of Siapan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Ave., New Orleans, LA. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Friends may visit on Wednesday after 9:00 am at the church. Arrangements by JACOB SCHOEN AND SON FUNERAL DIRECTORS.

My name is Herbert L. Davis, great nephew. He was my Mama Lones's Oldest Son. I'm so sorry I enjoyed playing in his yard as a child. Him teaching me carpentry. And that cool gray van, lol...
