Bobbie Gene Smith

Bobbie Gene Smith, 76, of Stanford passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born March 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Bobby and Eva Irene Shoopman Smith. In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Mills Smith.

Bobbie was a US Navy Vietnam veteran. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 18 and a member of their honor guard. Bobby was also an active member of Moreland Christian Church. He volunteered at the Lincoln County Food Drive, was a giver, and loved to make people smile.

Bobbie is survived by his daughter, Becky Alford of Hustonville; granddaughter, Whitney (Jamie) Rodgers of Hustonville; great granddaughter, Braylee; step-grandson, Denver (Paige) Miller of Waynesburg; brother, James Paul (Glenda) Smith of Hustonville; and sister, Carolyn (Danny) Exline of OH.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11 am, Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Williams officiating. Pallbearers are Denver Miller, Jamie Rodgers, Keith Young, Paul Smith, Lynn Young, and Lavalle Scott. Burial is at Danville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by American Legion Post 18.
