Lou Dean Obituary
Lou was an LPN, working mostly at Haggin Hospital in Harrodsburg. She loved babies and babysitting. Lou enjoyed gardening and mowing on her John Deere. She also loved singing and listening to gospel music.
Lou is survived by her husband of 15 years, John Dean of Liberty; stepchildren: Richard Dean, William Dean, Lisa (Tim) Long, and Michelle (Roger) Allen, all of Liberty; sisters: Ivadean Wright and Judy Silvers, both of Harrodsburg; brother, David (Kim) Brown of Junction City;10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lou was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Melvina Rose; sister, Dolores Faye Johnson; and brother, Dewayne Wright.
Visitation is 12:00pm-1:00pm, Monday, February 2, 2026, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Roger Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brandon Adams, Ethan Miller, Jim Miller, Jonathan Stevens, Jonathan Turpin, and David Brown. Honorary pallbearer is Rachael Miller.
