Mavis Cornett

Mavis Cornett, 47, of Hustonville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at home. She was born on March 16, 1978, to the late Macklin and Katherine Cornett.

She was very creative and enjoyed crafts and listening to music. She had a huge heart. She was a devoted member of Hustonville Baptist Church and volunteered at the food pantry.

Mavis is survived by her sons: Jacob and Noah Goins both of Hustonville; the father of her children, Mark Goins, of Richmond and his mother and sister, Gladys Goins of Hustonville and Jennifer Goins of California; brother, Aaron Cornett (Amber), of Harrodsburg; and sister, Jessica Cornett (Marty Cornish) of Hustonville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Cochran.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made directly to W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be Monday, March 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of service. Bro. Andrew McGinnis will officiate. Burial will follow in Moreland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob and Noah Goins, Aaron Cornett, and friends from Hustonville Baptist Church.
