Boyd worked at Jackson Chair and later retired as a self-employed upholster. He enjoyed playing baseball and watching sports. He liked cutting wood, logging, and raising a garden.
In addition to his parents, Boyd was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Gadberry Wesley; brothers: Chester, Floyd, and Dester Wesley; and sister, Mathel Spaw.
Boyd is survived by his daughters, Barbara (John) Witte and Elizabeth Wesley (Dale Arms), both of Stanford.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am, Friday at Hustonville Cemetery. With Bro. Steve Meece officiating. Pallbearers are John Witte, Brett Witte, Brad Witte, Easton Witte, Corey Hager, and Paul Barnett.
Memorial Contributions suggested to Heritage Hospice.
