Mr. Paul Wesley

Paul Lenard Wesley, a beloved husband, faithful community servant, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in the charming city of Savannah, Georgia, Paul eventually made his home in Decatur, Georgia, where he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories and unwavering companionship. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father Sumpter Wesley, and his mother Earline Wesley, who undoubtedly welcome him into their loving arms.

Paul dedicated his professional life to serving DeKalb County through a fulfilling career with the County Building Programs. His commitment to his work and community left an indelible mark on the many lives he touched. His colleagues and friends remember him as a dedicated and passionate individual who strived to make a difference.

A Homegoing Celebration to honor Paul's life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10 AM at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, located at 182 Hunter Street, Norcross, Georgia. Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of a man who gave so much of himself to others.

In addition, a Kappa Alpha Psi Omega Service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 7 to 8 PM, celebrating Paul's brotherhood and fraternity. This service will provide an opportunity for fraternity brothers and close friends to remember and reflect on the contributions Paul made to their shared ideals and community.

The family is deeply appreciative of the expressions of love and sympathy they have received. Arrangements are entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory-Avondale, who have handled the preparations with the utmost care and compassion.
