Woodrow was the love of my life. He was a true gentleman, loved beautiful flowers, building houses and fishing. An offensive guard with San Francisco 49ers, and went to the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles #69

Woody and I served together in C Troop 1st Squadron 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment in Bindlach, Germany. We were close friends. Woody tagged me with the nickname "Froggy". I changed my major to Business Management after I returned to college because of discussions we had. Both of my sons have degrees in Business which can be traced to Woody's influence on me. I only recently found out that Woody is with our Lord. We almost reconnected when he was with the Eagles. He met my former wife because she was at Giants Stadium to see her brother, Harry Carson play in a game against the Eagles. We called each other, unfortunately, I misplaced his number. I won't mention it here, but he and I pulled off my all time favorite practical joke on one of our fellow troopers. Woody was one in a million. May he rest in peace. I will be glad to talk to any family members. I can be reached at 843-615-4403,

To the Peoples Family:

I pray that you take comfort in knowing Woodrow now rests safely in the arms of He who is able to sustain us.

We grew up together in the Cleveland Station area of West End and enjoyed many happy times at the home of his grand mother (Mamma Dolly).

He will be missed by all who knew him.

To the Peoples Family, I was saddened to hear about Woodys passing this morning. I grew up in the Bay Area when he was giving Brodie all that time to find Gene Washington downfield, but what I remember most was that he and Cedric Hardman were shootin hoops at the Redwood City headquarters when a buddy and me poked our heads inside the gym. They invited us in for a 2 on 2, for wich they promptly disposed of us! May the Good Lord be with you in this difficult time, and RIP Woody.

Greatness may be gone but not forgotten!Through the tears please rejoice in this hope: "Those of our people who have died will live again! Their bodies will come back to life. All those sleeping in their graves will wake up and sing for joy. As the sparkling dew refreshes the earth, so the Lord will revive those who have long been dead" Isa 26:19
